I. Comparison on lossy compression

Here reported are testing results using the standard Kodak image Birds (768x512x24). For JPEG2000 and JPEG, we used LuraWave SmartCompress. Data in the test settings are: quantization parameter for Lucid, file size (KB) for JPEG2000, quality factor for JPEG and Google WebP, quantization factor for JPEG XR. (*) WebP reaches 250:1 when quality factor = 1.
| ratio ( :1) | 20 | 32 | 48 | 56 | 64 | 100 | 150 | 200 | 300 |
| Lucid | 0.5 | 0.75 | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 3 | 3.75 | 5.25 |
| JPEG | 86 | 71 | 43 | 33 | 26 | 11 | 1 | ||
| JPEG2000 | 60.7 | 36 | 24 | 20 | 18 | 11.5 | 7.6 | 5.84 | 3.96 |
| JPEG XR | 25 | 37 | 47 | 50 | 54 | 65 | 73 | 80 | 88 |
